Designer John Derian's vacation home in Provincetown, on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Built in 1789, the house was originally a sea captain's home, and when Derian purchased the house in 2006 it was virtually untouched. Derian decided to keep it that way, making only invisible (and necessary) updates to the plumbing, electricity and insulation, and leaving all aesthetic details in tact such as frayed wallpaper and chipped paint.
