Nestled within the heart of the Short North Arts District in Columbus, Ohio, these private residences were formally home to a cinderblock automotive repair shop that was no longer in business. Taking the original base structure, Lincoln Street Studio created two, three story modern townhouses. This was achieved by laying the components of the living spaces: One residence boasts a loft style living space on the third floor while the second bedroom and main bathroom sits on the second level; the first level being a guest bedroom, and closet area. The second residence utilizes the ceiling height for a more airy atmosphere within their residence while the second floor holds the main bedroom and bath with a guest room and bath on the first floor. Both townhouses have a terrace that sits over their own personal garage parking fully utilizing all space within this urban lot.
