Based on a Student Centered Learning module incorporating critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity, the Marysville ECHS’s architectural design is flexible and incorporates changeable spaces, changeable furniture, and technology woven into all aspects of the building creating an energetic, innovative, creative and colorful space. Focusing on three main path-ways for student education - advanced manufacturing, information technology and health sciences - Marysville ECHS is home to a robotics lab with large-scale robots and a state-of-the-art welding lab complete with Edison Technology. All of this is located in a building originally constructed in 1961 and boasts 100,000-sq.ft. of renovation to make way for the new school. The renovation included building the lab spaces, creating walls and replacing structural elements as well as plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
