The third phase of a three-part master plan, this major addition to the Columbus Museum of art is 50,000 square feet. This allows for a 22,000 square foot increase in gallery space, allowing for more than three times the amount of works visitors can view. Additionally, 8,300 square feet was utilized for an increase in temperature and humidity controlled art storage space; as well as 4,800 square feet going towards a public event space that can seat up to 200 guests.
With the cinematic facades allowing a view of activity within to those passing by on the street level, visitors to the museum are able to look out to the city as well.
