Home of Bernard-Henri Lévy and Arielle Dombasle. They acquired the Palais de la Zahia, as it is known, in 1998. Over the past two decades, they’ve expanded the centuries-old riad with additional guest rooms, public and private areas for sheltering from the day’s heat and gardens that alternately delineate and obscure its meandering courtyards. From the start, they’ve worked on the project with their friend Louis Benech, France’s preeminent landscape designer. Over the years, the property has been revamped by its various occupants including in 1966 by designer Bill Willis, and most recently by designer Christian Louboutin.
